The market remained under pressure in morning trade on Wednesday with the Sensex falling more than 220 points, down by FMCG, auto, technology and private banks stocks. Global market under pressure, The Hang Seng and Shanghai decline 1.7 per cent.
The 30-share Sensex is trade down 229.76 points or 0.89% at 25543.85, The 50-share Nifty is decline 67.80 points or 0.86% at 7822.95.
The BSE Mid-cap index is trading down 0.39% at 11,160, the BSE Small-cap index is falls 0.04% at 11,140.
ONGC, HCL Tech, SBIN, Yes Bank, Dr. Reddy’s were top Gainers, while Maruti, Bosch Ltd, Hero Motocorp, BHEL, Infratel, Asian paints, Tata Motors, Bajaj-auto, HDFC bank, TataMtrdvr were top Losers today on NSE.
The Indian rupee opened lower by 8 paise at 66.95 against US dollar on Wednesday.
Tata Communication share jumped 3.8 percent to 450.25 on BSE. The company will announce today Q4 numbers.
